Please find above our selection of Ferodo brake pads listed by compound, if the Ferodo brake pads you are looking for are not listed, please call or email, we will be happy to get them for you.
As a general guide we recommend that you consider the following when making your material compound selection:
- 4WD Cars
same compound, front and rear - Rear Traction Cars
same compound, front and rear - Front Traction Cars
high friction level in the front axle (i.e. DS3000), lower friction level on the rear axle (i.e. DS2500, 4003)
FERODO DS2500
With Ferodo race pads low- and high-speed braking efficiency, reduced stopping distances and consistent brake pedal feel are yours from first time - every time. Available for all leading high-performance European and Japanese vehicles.
- Consistent coefficient of friction (0,42) at all temperatures
- Low noise / low dusting
- Long pad life
- Kind on discs
FERODO DS3000
DS3000 is the FERODO RACING compound that has set the braking standard from race one back in the 1998 season. DS3000 has contributed to countless wins and podium positions in many Touring car and GT championships around the world. In addition to its reduced bedding in time (approximately 50 percent quicker than other materials).
- Very High coefficient of friction (0,54) at all speeds and temperatures
- High initial bite
- Predictability and control because of the unvarying torque output
- Low off-brake drag
When using DS3000 on lighter racing cars lower brake pressures will be required to achieve the required deceleration. The graph relates the friction level of DS3000 to vehicle speed and to the temperature at the pad/disc interface.
FERODO 4003
4003 is a compound that was specifically developed for lighter cars (Formula 3, Formula Ford, Formula Opel, Formula Vauxhall, Formula Renault, Formula Campus) and Rally use. 4003 is the most commonly used pad worldwide in F3 championships.
- High coefficient of friction (0,46) at all speeds and temperatures
- Short bedding in time
- Excellent initial bite
- Predictable and reliable
- Low drag/good release
FERODO DS1.11
Several brake pads on the market boast 'ceramic' technology. DS1.11 is the real thing. It is based upon a chemical family known as Siloxanes. Unlike carbon based materials, siloxane chains do not decompose at high temperatures and so DS1.11 keeps on working up to the highest temperatures a brake pad could ever see. That means it won't fade and has excellent life, the best in the Ferodo Racing range. Moreover the performance remains exactly the same throughout the pad's (long) life. It is formulated to provide a very flat friction profile at a medium/high level of friction. The pad compression is very low, always, and so pedal travel is short and consistent.
- High coefficient of friction (0,50) at all speeds and temperatures
- Excellent life of pad and disc
- High initial bite
- Predictability and control because of the unvarying torque output
- Low off-brake drag/Excellent release
- Unvarying performance throughout pad life
- Firm pedal. Always
FERODO DS2.11
DS2.11 is the sister compound to DS1.11. It is based on the same siloxane technology and shares many of DS1.11's characteristics (unvarying performance, short pedal, excellent control) but has some additional features, notably it's extremely high bit and friction coefficient. Pad life is slightly lower than DS2.11. It is especially recommended for rally (WRC race proven), but is suitable for any other application where very high friction, bit and a rising torque profile are desired.
- High coefficient of friction (max 0,62) at all speeds and temperatures
- Very high initial bite
- Excellent disc life and condition
- No fade. Strong torque profile.
- Good pad life
- Low off-brake drag/Excellent release
- Unvarying performance throughout pad life
- Firm pedal. Always
FERODO DS3000 Endurance
While maintaining the essential characteristics of the DS3000 family, FERODO "Endurance" material has been formulated to provide extended pad/rotor life in events of three to six hours in length.
- Exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0,46) at all speeds and temperatures
- No fade
- Predictability in all conditions
- Good release
FERODO DS3000 Plus 03
Developed by FERODO for severe braking conditions, where high friction is required at extreme temperatures. The material has an exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0.72) is whilst maintaining the same gently rising toque profile as DS3000 and great initial bite. This compound is used in Touring car, Stockcar, GT, Indy Light, Formula Nippon, Formula 3000, DTC and many other international Series.
- Exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0,59) at all speeds and temperatures
- No fade
- Predictability in all conditions
- Good release
